WHERE WE STAND: KCLHC MEN'S.
"In 2014/15 King’s College London 1st team plan to build on the successes of last year in which we came 2nd in the BUCS league, won Varsity, Macadam and LUSL league alongside reaching the quarter finals of the BUCS cup and the final of the LUSL cup. This season we will compete in BUCS league, BUCS cup, LUSL cup, Varsity and Macadam. We intend to win promotion to 1A after a one year absence and be successful in both cups alongside retaining our Varsity and Macadam titles. We are well placed to achieve these goals with a squad with Premier League hockey experience and good strength in depth."

The KCLHC second XI is a slightly more light-hearted team, offering those interested in hockey, but perhaps not seasoned hockey players such as those in the first XI, with the opportunity to get fully involved in a King’s sports society. That is not to say a string of good performances for the second XI will not lead to chances to play for the first XI, especially with regular chances to play for a weakened first XI side on Sundays in the LUSL league and Cup. A disappointing 2013-14 season saw the second XI relegated from their BUCS league, subsequently for the 2014-15 season our aim is to achieve immediate promotion. This is a realistic aim given our retention of players from last season and the contrast in calibre of teams in the league 4B. For this reason, next season promises to be both exciting and offer a lot worth celebrating!
